Casa Del Mar Bonito is located in Playa Del Secreto which is about 25 minutes south of The Cancun Airport. Playa Del Secreto (secret beach in Spanish) is a gated community and has the most beautiful white sand beach in the Rivera Maya and the Caribbean Sea is crystal clear and is the most beautiful tones of aqua and blue. The beach stretches about 1 mile with about 15 private villas lining the beach. 

Casa Del Mar Bonito (“house of the beautiful sea”) is a luxury house of unparalleled beauty. The owners travelled worldwide before settling on the most beautiful spot on earth to build their dream house. The house can best be described as “laid back lux” since it is grand in appearance, furnishings and views while at the same time designed in such a way to create a feeling of relaxation, solitude and seclusion. The villa is an eclectic blend of various styles including, Italian, English, Mexican, and American.

The owners designed all the architectural details and specific furniture for the villa. Every detail was designed and custom made. They then commissioned master craftsmen in many countries to execute their designs. All the marble sculptures and fountains were sculpted in Beijing, China, of Egyptian and Italian marble. The mosaic marble floors, walls and tables were hand crafted in Bali, Indonesia. The doors and furniture were hand carved In Indonesia from mahogany to fit in specific locations within the house. All the outdoor furniture including tables, chairs and loungers were hand carved from teakwood in Indonesia. The detailing of the house and the dramatic conservatory brick domed ceiling were completed by Mexican artisans. The marble floors and counters are from Indonesia and China. The pool tile was produced in Japan. The glass shower doors were hand etched in Java, Indonesia.

The villa is surrounded by a 10 foot wall that provides maximum security and privacy. Upon entering, there are beautiful gardens that generate a feeling of being lost in a sea of flowers and greenery. There is another walled courtyard inside the exterior walls where the pool and additional gardens are located for maximum privacy. The 45 foot pool is surrounded by fountains, gardens, lounges, tables and an “in pool” lounge. It is located on the opposite side from the ocean in a private unobservable courtyard off the pool side terrace to provide maximum privacy. 

Upon entering the villa there is a dramatic conservatory with a custom sculpted dolphin fountain and cafe table. The ceiling of the conservatory is a red brick dome (cupola) that stretches 40 feet above the floor. There is a beautiful balcony that leads to the master bedroom suite complex.

The villa was designed so that a maximum amount of privacy could be maintained while being located directly on the beach. It was designed in such a way that all 4 bedrooms have an unobstructed view of the Caribbean Sea. The master suite takes up the entire second floor. To reach the master suite there is a marble stairway that leads to a balcony overlooking the conservatory floor. On this balcony are mosaic marble floors, a cafe table and an etched glass double door entrance to the master suite. 

The living room contains a 62” TV, and an entertainment center which includes a DVD player, an I-pod docking station, surround sound theater system, and a satellite TV. There is also a beautiful bar and Subzero wine cooler adjacent to a 6 chair game table. The room is open and there is a view of both the ocean and the pool.

The Chef’s kitchen has the most modern of appliances, granite counter tops and includes 2 dishwashers and 2 sinks. The appliances include a professional Chef Viking gas stove and a Subzero refrigerator.

The dining room has a beautiful mosaic marble table top and has an unobstructed view of the ocean for an unforgettable dining experience. A ruby red crystal Indian chandelier adds beauty and atmosphere to each meal. Enjoy your favorite wine or champagne in the hand cut crystal stemware provided.
